Exhibition Girls Exhibition Tips
Exhibition Girls are here to support and represent clients professionally at international tradeshows and having worked at 100s of tradeshows ourselves – we have learnt a code of etiquette that might also be interesting to companies exhibiting at a show for the first time –
- Research the show – know who is attending and who you want to target and your competitors.
- Make sure you are on the stand ready for doors opening.
- Wear comfortable shoes and smart clean business clothes.
- Save eating and drinking for your breaks
- Make sure there is water on the stand for colleagues and clients.
- Switch off your phone and laptop – your colleagues will know you are at the show.
- Keep it business! Do not discuss your personal interests / other work to colleagues.
- Treat every visitor as a potential great lead and ask open-ended questions to determine customer’s needs.
- Avoid over the fence discussions with adjacent exhibitors
- Have open body language – do not cross you arms or your put hands in pockets.
- Talk to visitors rather than colleagues / never ignore a prospect.
- Ask open questions. Observe the 80/20 rule – listen to prospects 80% of the time and speak for 20%.
- Make sure you collect a business card / scan the badge of any good prospect / forward them to the sales team
- Smile, always be nice and have fun!
